Level A Cardiac CTA Training Canon Medical 320-slice Aquilion ONE PRISM Edition CT scanner

The Victorian Heart Institute offers cardiac CT courses each year in collaboration with the Victorian Heart Hospital utilising the Canon Medical 320-slice Aquilion ONE PRISM Edition CT scanner. The course will take place in the luminary site cardiac CT facility at The Victorian Heart Hospital in Melbourne.  The course will be taught by highly experienced Australian Level B accredited faculty led by - A/Prof Sujith Seneviratne and Dr Ken Lau. 

Meet course component of Australian Conjoint Committee Level A Competency Requirements (Six day course) 
The six day training course is designed for cardiologists and radiologists who desire an in depth knowledge of cardiac CTA. This course’s popularity is based on our systematic review methodology, which is designed to increase your reading confidence and decrease your read time.

Meeting recertification requirements/refresher course (Four day course)
The four day training course is designed for cardiologists and radiologists who desire cases for recertification.

Find your way to the Victorian Heart Hospital 

Car Parking:
Look out for the Victorian Heart Hospital entrance on Blackburn Road. The hospital is located next to the Monash University sporting fields. Traffic lights at the entrance on Blackburn Road will make it easy to turn into the hospital, whichever direction you are coming from.

An underground car park is available. Drive in the Victorian Heart Hospital entrance and turn left into the underground car park, just before the turning circle in front of the hospital’s main entry doors. Elevators in the car park will take you directly up to the hospital ground floor check-in area. Please follow signage to the public lifts and proceed to level 2.

PREREQUISITE CREDENTIALS FOR TRAINING IN CTCA

Each specialist seeking recognition as a CTCA Specialist must be able to demonstrate evidence of one of the following pre-requisites, please select which best applies to you:

Cardiologists:
Evidence of Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP); AND
Evidence of Ordinary Membership / Fellowship of CSANZ, OR proof of completion of Cardiology Training from RACP / CSANZ.

Nuclear Medicine Physicians:
A copy of their Medicare / HIC letter of recognition as a consultant physician in nuclear medicine or "confirmation of status" letter; OR
A copy of their letter of credentialing (or re-credentialing) for nuclear medicine by the Joint Nuclear Medicine Credentialing & Accreditation Committee (JNMCAC) of the RACP and the RANZCR.

Radiologists:
Evidence of RANZCR certification by way of:
Fellowship; OR
Educational Affiliate Membership
