VHH Cardiac Surgical Emergency Training

Cardiac Surgical Emergency (CSE) Training is a half-day course for VHH staff, covering key management aspects of the deteriorating and arresting patient following cardiac surgery.

These include:
Cardiothoracic ALS Protocol
Effective Teamwork
Emergency Pacing and Pacemaker Troubleshooting
Emergency Resternotomy

The course is delivered in a mix of lectures, small group problem based learning sessions, skills training and simulation scenarios.
