About the course:

In the current world characterised by VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity), the ability to recover from setbacks, adapt well to change, and keep going in the face of adversity are core skills to possess. We carry an emotional or cognitive load that influences how we interact with others, and how productive and effective we operate. Personal Resilience and wellbeing are necessary to give one the strength- mental and physical to drive and move forward consistently. Resilience when role-modelled will create a positive culture of drive, initiative and determination in teams and organisations. This course explore the importance of resilience, the connection between stress and performance, discusses tools and techniques to develop personal resilience, especially as a core driver of adaptability to change.

Structure:

This course comprises of 5 modules of learning, followed by the completion of a 5 unit goal and Final Assessment to qualify for your micro-credential. Please see below a unit-by-unit breakdown of what you will learn in this course.

Unit 1: The importance of Personal Resilience and Wellbeing and understanding the science behind resiliency
Unit 2: The Relationship between Stress and Performance and Thriving versus languishing- key strategies
Unit 3: Tools and techniques to develop personal well-being
Unit 4: Resilience and Change- Effective management and becoming a change champion
Unit 5: You will revisit key signposts in the course and bring to life some of the activities you have been participating in over the past 4 units. A final assessment will be held this unit which will support you towards gaining the Resilience micro-credential.

Assessments:

  1. Formative Assessments throughout the course, functioning as knowledge checks.
  2. Summative Assessment at the end of course.

  • This course will support the participant to gain a deeper understanding of “resilience” and “wellbeing”, how they are connected, and why they are important for personal and professional success
  • Understand the relationship between stress and performance.
  • Provided with the tools and guidance to:
    • Develop and implement strategies to become more resilient
    • Commit to actions that will enhance your own wellbeing in simple, practical ways
    • Measure your influence and impact and develop strategies to improve communication, collaboration, and inclusiveness.
  • Draft goals strategies for your personalised development plan.
