Post Mortem CT Interpretation

Post Mortem CT interpretation training with Dr Chris O’Donnell.

This intensive 3-day short course is designed for forensic pathologists (incl. trainees) and radiologists (incl. trainees) as well as radiographers and general pathologists with an interest in forensic imaging. 

Course Objectives: 

  1. confidence in viewing post-mortem CT (PMCT) images
  2. knowledge of PMCT correlates of the pathological artefacts of death
  3. the ability to recognize forensically significant PMCT findings in all anatomical areas
  4. the ability to integrate PMCT findings into work practices (radiology and pathology)
  5. awareness of newer PMCT techniques such as angiography, PMMRI and guided-biopsy
  6. insight into construction of a medico-legal radiology report
  7. understanding of the requirements of an expert witness in giving evidence based on PMCT
