Nihon no Kokoro Workshop #1 Modern Kintsugi
In this session, you will learn about the meaning and history of Kintsugi, the traditional Japanese art of repairing broken pottery. You will also have the opportunity to practise modern Kintsugi yourself, using accessible materials while following authentic techniques. Please note that this workshop uses modern materials rather than traditional urushi lacquer.
All instruction will be delivered in Japanese, with appropriate language support and scaffolding provided throughout. This workshop offers a valuable opportunity to enhance your Japanese language skills while engaging with a unique aspect of Japanese art and culture.
Places are limited, so we encourage you to book early to avoid missing out.
We look forward to your participation!
