Introduction to Education Research in the Health Professions and Sciences

This course is designed to introduce participants to health education research methods. Through a mixture of plenary talks, hands-on group activities, and self-directed learning participants will develop foundational knowledge and skills to support their education research. The course covers the full research process including: identifying a topic of inquiry, formulating research questions, selecting and implementing appropriate methodologies and methods, and disseminating findings. The role of theory in designing and implementing education research, along with maintaining ethical standards and rigour in the research process will also be covered.

We have 3 enrolment options in 2019:

10 week evening course.

  • 1st May 2019 - 3rd July 2019 (5:30-9pm) Monash University, Clayton, see dates below
  • 10 modules (min purchase of 2 modules). AUD$350 per module
  • AUD$3100 for all 10 modules. Early bird AUD2600 until 17th March 2019

5-day face-to-face intensive course

  • 2nd - 6th December 2019. Monash University, Clayton.
  • AUD$3100. Early bird AUD$2600 until 15th September 2019
