GINnovate 2026

GINnovate 2026 is all about innovation, entrepreneurship, and research translation. This year’s program is designed to give the GIN community practical tools, fresh perspectives, and the kind of networking that sparks impact‐driven, collaborative research.

We’re kicking off the night with a short, hands‐on workshop delivered by the team from the Monash Institute of Medical Engineering (MIME). Featuring special guest Dr Julie Dao, co-founder and lead of Sonorus, a medical device and AI pre-seed start-up. This session will help researchers feel informed, confident, and equipped to navigate the evolving landscape of research commercialisation — from strategic thinking to real‐world pathways for translating ideas into outcomes.

After the workshop, attendees will have dedicated time to connect, exchange ideas, and build new collaborations across the gut–immune–neuro community.
