The ElecLab Toolkit is a set of tools that will help you take on new industry-inspired projects and activities. We have designed these projects to improve your practical and design skills, which are essential for your engineering degree.

This year the units ECE2071, ECE2131, ECE3073, ECE3161 and TRC3500 will require the toolkit, with more units to be added to this list in coming years. If your unit handbook or Moodle page says you need an ElecLab Toolkit, then you will need one for the unit.

Students entering their second year in 2024 onwards, defined as being first enrolled in ECE2131, ECE2071, or both, will need to acquire a Toolkit in order to participate in these activities throughout their degree. Only one ToolKit needs to be purchased, as students will reuse the kit in all subsequent units. Students whose progression means they had completed ECE2071/ECE2131 prior to 2024 will continue to receive loan kits as part of the transition process.
