Structure:

This course comprises of 5 modules of learning, followed by the completion of a 5 week goal and Final Assessment to qualify for your micro-credential. Please see below a module-by-module breakdown of what you will learn in this course.

Module 1: Foundations of Critical Thinking for Teams: Fostering Understanding, Beyond Technical Excellence, Understanding the Impact of Team Culture, Introduction to Critical Thinking Principles, Recognising Biases and Assumptions and Introduction to the RED Critical Thinking Framework

Module 2: Problem Identification and Definition: Techniques for Identifying Complex Problems, Distinguishing Symptoms from Underlying Issues and Understanding the RED Critical Thinking Framework

Module 3: Analytical Tools and Frameworks: Utilising SWOT and PESTLE Analyses within a Team, Decision Making Models and their Applications within Teams, Leveraging Team Mind Mapping for Comprehensive Analysis and Integrating the RED Critical Thinking Framework into a Workplace Scenario

Module 4: Case Studies in Strategic Decision Making: Real-world Case Studies on Successful Strategic Decisions, Decision Making Processes in Complex Situations, Understanding the 8D Problem-Solving Method and Applying the 8D Problem Solving Method

Module 5: Collaborative Problem Solving: Techniques for Fostering Team Collaboration for Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Fostering Team Collaboration for Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Implementing Brainstorming and Ideation Sessions, Enhancing Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving through Group Decision Making Strategies, Navigating Conflicts and Embracing Diverse Perspectives in Team Problem-Solving and Applying the 8D Problem Solving Method to a Workplace Issue
