About the course:

This course familiarises participants with the principles of business process re-engineering, specifically emphasizing continuous advancement. Throughout the duration of this course, participants will gain insight into identifying, analyzing, designing, and implementing novel business processes, all while embracing a mindset centred on continuous improvement.

Structure:

This course comprises of 5 modules of learning, activities, and Final Assessment to qualify for your micro-credential. Please see below a module-by-module breakdown of what you will learn in this course.

Module 1: We introduce business process re-engineering and lay the context for it's benefits to an organisation. We bring forward the key methodologies, tools and templates and touch on what business process re-engineering looks like in a new world of work.

Module 2: We focus on identifying the right business processes to re-engineer. We do this by exploring how problems in business processes are defined, how to find solutions, influencing decision makers, and re-engineering for the future state.

Module 3: We delve into implementing a re-engineered business process. Within this we cover off communicating a new process, uplifting capability, influencing behaviours, and how to monitor success and ensure continuous improvement.

Module 4: We look at barriers and roadblocks to business process re-engineering. Within this we explore creative thinking, managing stakeholders, navigating self-doubt, and risk management.

Module 5: You will revisit key signposts in the course thus far and move into using strategies learnt thus far to effectively re-engineer business processes. You will also undertake a final summative assessment to display your ability to practically implement the strategies, tools and theories covered in the course.
