ANREN Annual Meeting 2026

The Australian Nuclear Research and Education Network (ANREN) is a network with university membership across ANU, UNSW, USyd, UoW, CSU, Monash, UMelbourne, Adelaide University, ECU, Curtin, UWA, and UQueensland.
Established in 2023, the group works together with a vision "to be a trusted source of nuclear and radiation science and technology expertise and education for Australia.” We regularly welcome new members, and seek to broaden membership to other universities in Australia/New Zealand with nuclear education and research interests.

The ANREN Annual meeting will bring together Australian researchers, educators, and professional staff to foster trust, build a vibrant community of practice, and increase the visibility of our community both within and outside of academia. This gathering will be inclusive of the broad range of disciplines that contribute to nuclear and radiation research and education discourse, will support cross-institutional and cross-disciplinary networking and collaboration, and encourage early-career engagement with the community. It will also feature sessions and networking opportunities designed to facilitate links between industry, academia, and government.

Please note: This event will be held both in-person (Melbourne CBD) and online (via Zoom). While we will try to make all of the agenda available remotely, there may be some elements not possible to deliver online. Attendance in-person is therefore advantageous and provide greater opportunity for networking.

A small registration fee is charged to in-person participants to cover catering and other event-related costs. If this fee is a barrier to your attendance, please get in touch to discuss options.

Thank-you to AINSE, ANU, Adelaide University and Monash University for their support for this event.

Thanks to support from our event partners at AINSE, we have some funding available to support student travel to the ANREN Annual Meeting. This travel funding will be awarded with the aim of supporting broad representation across Australia, promoting a diverse range of topics at the conference, and taking into account the quality and overall balance of applications received.  Note that a requirement of this funding is to present a poster on your work as part of our poster networking session.
