The Centre for Developmental Psychiatry & Psychology is presenting a one-day “hands on” workshop that helps to equip secondary school staff with a comprehensive plan and strategies to address school non-attendance. A wide range of school attendance problems will be addressed, including school refusal, truancy, and school withdrawal.

The one-day workshop will focus on a new model of responding to school nonattendance that includes preventative strategies as well as protocols for responding to non-attendance and developing engaging curriculum. This workshop, limited to a small group of participants, will include information sessions and small group activities.

Participants have the opportunity to customise the comprehensive strategy to their school setting, via discussion with workshop facilitators and other participants.

Presenters
